Mon, 30 June 2008 Thanks to everyone for chatting with me about podcasting and Second Life.
I bumped up the account to the 200MB level, so there's plenty of space if others would like to chat about Second Life and podcasting. Quite a few people have expressed an interest, and if you're one of them, well, just ring me up some evening on Sykpe (username: isfullofcrap) and we'll have ourselves a hootenanny. As for the future of this podcast, I plan on keeping it going past the Second Life 5th Birthday, housing the exhibit in the SLPN Headquarters on Nowhereville as well as a yet-to-be-determined location on Podcast Island. I will certainly have more space in both locations, so there will be room for screenshots and dedicated players for various podcasts of interest, Radar's excellent tutorials, and so on. Oh, and in case you're curious, there's been 622 downloads of the files so far. Not exactly burning up the wires, but if you average it out, there's folks outside of the social circle of podcasts interested in this thing. Who knows how many of those people will be listening to something fresh and news from the podcasting community... or... perhaps... firing up a microphone and joining them? Mon, 23 June 2008 SL5B is open!
Head on over to the exhibit and be sure to check out Radar's excellent video tutorials on how to podcast. Oh, and after SL5B, I have a feeling you'll be able to find this content at Podcast Island, SLPN HQ, and the Clocktower. If you are a podcaster in Second Life that I haven't yet interviews and you would like to take a few minutes to chat about your experiences in podcasting and Second Life, please drop me a line (skype:isfullofcrap). I've got another interview to conduct tonight, and there's a few folks out there that have expressed interest in interviews that haven't yet set a time for a chitchat. The ipodjacker.com domain does not appear to be resolving correctly, so I guess it's time to toss Libsyn a note today. This will be a good test of their technical support responses so I can let folks know as part of the build, right? Category: general -- posted at: 2:23 PM Comments[0] |
